4V4 TOURNAMENT UPDATE - APRIL 4, 2024

To all our friends,

After much thought, consideration, and a few tears, the decision has been made to discontinue the Brandon Palady 4v4 Memorial Tournament. Therefore, will not be holding a tournament this year and there are no plans for any future tournaments.

We were very fortunate to have been able to award just under $80,000 in scholarships since our first tournament back in 2007, due to the funds raised by the tournaments and from gracious donations throughout the years. The Brandon Palady Foundation will be able to continue awarding scholarships for several years to come. Our goal is to award through 2026, which would represent our 20th consecutive year of scholarships to deserving Midlothian seniors. Our foundation will continue until all scholarship money has been distributed.

The social media and website for The Brandon Palady Foundation, a Texas nonprofit corporation, will continue for anyone wishing to make donations and all updates will be posted there. Our website is www.brandonpaladyfoundation.org.

This year’s scholarship deadline is May 1 for all 2024 graduates. We will post all information and updates for the scholarship application on our website and social media.

One thing we realized recently was that some of the 2024 seniors were born in 2005. That happens to be the same year Brandon played as a senior soccer player at MHS under Coach Guest. Some of those 2024 seniors grew up, literally, at the Palady tournament. Coach Guest still coaches at MHS and coaches those 2024 seniors. They have been there since the very first one and it seems like a very full circle moment for the Palady Family.

The Palady Family is very appreciative of the support, cooperation, participation and love that everyone has shown them since 2006. It is appreciated more than you could every know.

We have spoken to Midlothian Soccer Association, and they have expressed an interest in a summer tournament to raise funds for their association. We have a wonderful soccer family in Midlothian, and we hope everyone can continue to gather for a fun filled day of soccer no matter the beneficiary. So, keep an eye out for more information as that becomes available.

June won't be the same...but we will always treasure the memories.
